Box Office Representative (Part-Time)

SUMMARY

This position entails selling tickets to the public at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Box Office, being a guest relations ambassador during events, assisting with answering incoming telephone calls from guests and providing outstanding customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires event work which means successful candidates must be flexible and willing to work evenings, a minimum of two weekends a month as well as holidays such as Thanksgiving/New Year’s and Easter weekends for example.

Daytime availability between the hours of 10 AM to 5 PM is also a plus for this role.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret maps, instruction sheets, and coupon sheets/grids. Ability to effectively present information and respond clearly to questions from guests. Excellent customer relations skills, being able to handle difficult customer service issues and achieve a positive outcome.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Knowledge to apply mathematical operations to certain tasks.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret directions.

PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate must have the ability to answer guest questions and address any problems as they arise and to provide a positive, mutually beneficial outcome to resolve the situation.
